Cloud & Data Platforms

Connect Google Cloud Billing to DataMind OS.

Sync billing accounts, project billing info and services from Google Cloud Billing into your Lake, on your own servers. The AI reads the Google Cloud Billing API docs, asks you a few questions and builds the connector.

Google Cloud Billing

by Google

The Cloud Billing APIs answer the structural side of Google Cloud cost: which billing account each project is linked to, which services and SKUs exist at what list price in each region, and which budgets and alert thresholds finance has set. Keeping that catalog in your Lake means price changes, unlinked projects and budget coverage can be checked against the resources teams actually run.

02Data

What you can sync.

  • Billing accounts
  • Project billing info
  • Services
  • Sku prices
  • Budgets

Load Google Cloud Billing billing accounts into your Lake and model it in the Warehouse with the rest of your stack.

Need more? Name any other Google Cloud Billing data the API returns, and the AI adds it to the connector.

03Credentials

Credentials you will need.

  • OAuth 2.0 (client ID, client secret, refresh token)
  • A service account key

Google Cloud Billing uses OAuth 2.0 (client ID, client secret, refresh token) or a service account key. You add the credentials once, when the AI asks for them, and it tells you where to create them in Google if you need help.

04Questions

Questions you can answer.

Once Google Cloud Billing data is in your Lake, ask an AI Mind in plain words or build the answer in DataPrism BI.

  1. Which projects have billing disabled or are linked to the wrong billing account?
  2. Which SKU list prices changed since last month for the services we use?
  3. How do Compute Engine and Cloud Storage list prices differ across the regions we deploy to?
  4. Which projects are not covered by any budget, and which budgets alert only at 100 percent?

05How it works

How it works in DataMind.

  1. Pick Google Cloud Billing.

Open Lake, pick Google Cloud Billing in the source picker and name the connection. Connect Any API opens with a ready prompt that points the AI at the Google Cloud Billing API docs.

  2. Answer a few questions.

The AI reads the Google Cloud Billing documentation, then asks which credentials you will use, which data to sync (for example billing accounts and project billing info), whether you want a one-time load or a recurring sync, and which accounts or filters apply.

  3. Your data lands in Lake.

It builds the connector, tests it and shows you sample rows. Then Google Cloud Billing data loads into your Lake on your schedule, ready for the Warehouse, DataPrism BI and AI Minds.
