Amazon MSK
by Amazon Web Services
Amazon MSK runs Kafka for event pipelines inside AWS. A Python connector reads topic messages with IAM or SASL credentials and lands them in the Lake in scheduled batches, while consumer group offsets and the cluster and configuration details describe the pipeline itself. Application events become tables that can be joined with customers, orders and billing.

02Data
What you can sync.
- Topic messages
- Clusters
- Consumer group offsets
- Configurations
Put Amazon MSK topic messages next to revenue and usage, so every cost has an owner and a reason.
Need more? Name any other Amazon MSK data the API returns, and the AI adds it to the connector.
03Credentials
Credentials you will need.
- AWS access keys
- A username and password
Amazon MSK uses AWS access keys or a username and password. You add the credentials once, when the AI asks for them, and it tells you where to create them in Amazon Web Services if you need help.
04Questions
Questions you can answer.
Once Amazon MSK data is in your Lake, ask an AI Mind in plain words or build the answer in DataPrism BI.
- How many order events per hour flowed through each topic last week, and where did volume dip?
- Which consumer groups are falling behind, and by how many messages?
- Which customers generated error events in the last day, and what plan are they on?
- How do event counts on the payments topic reconcile with transactions in the payment processor?
05How it works
How it works in DataMind.
-
Pick Amazon MSK.
Open Lake, pick Amazon MSK in the source picker and name the connection. Connect Anything opens with a ready prompt that points the AI at the Amazon MSK API docs.
-
Answer a few questions.
The AI reads the Amazon MSK documentation, then asks which credentials you will use, which data to sync (for example topic messages and clusters), whether you want a one-time load or a recurring sync, and which accounts or filters apply.
-
Your data lands in Lake.
The connector agent writes a Python connector for Amazon MSK, tests it against the live API and shows you sample rows. Then the data loads into your Lake on your schedule, ready for the Warehouse, DataPrism BI and AI Minds.
